NEW DELHI: In a strategic move to digitize Egypt’s healthcare ecosystem, Telecom Egypt has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KareXpert Technologies, a leading Indian healthtech platform, to build and deploy a nationwide digital healthcare infrastructure.

The agreement aims to establish an AI-powered, cloud-native healthcare platform capable of supporting paperless hospitals, real-time patient records, and unified care services across public and private health networks in Egypt.

The KareXpert platform, already recognized for powering smart hospitals in India, will be customized for Egypt’s needs. The platform offers integrated modules for Hospital Information Systems (HIS), Electronic Medical Records (EMR), telemedicine, lab/RIS systems, billing, and mobile apps — all on a single-stack solution compliant with global health data standards.

“Our partnership with KareXpert is a key step toward building a robust, accessible, and intelligent national healthcare system,” said a senior official from Telecom Egypt.

This collaboration aligns with Egypt Vision 2030, which emphasizes digitization and universal healthcare access. By leveraging Telecom Egypt’s connectivity backbone and KareXpert’s digital health stack, the project seeks to make healthcare more efficient, affordable, and equitable for millions.

The MoU also reflects the growing India–Egypt bilateral cooperation in digital public infrastructure. KareXpert’s expansion into Africa marks a significant Make in India healthtech export milestone, supported by India's broader Digital Public Goods (DPG) strategy.
