NEW DELHI: In a heartfelt gesture of community service and spiritual support, Reliance Industries Limited, in collaboration with the Puri district administration, has rolled out an extensive set of initiatives to ensure a smooth, safe, and enriching experience for the lakhs of devotees visiting Puri for the annual Rath Yatra.
The sacred procession, which witnesses the grand journey of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra from the Jagannath Temple to the Gundicha Temple, draws massive crowds from across India and abroad. This year, Reliance Foundation, guided by its ‘We Care’ philosophy, is leading impactful initiatives centered around food, hygiene, safety, and comfort for pilgrims and on-duty personnel.
“Seva is deeply rooted in Reliance's ‘We Care’ philosophy, and the opportunity to serve devotees in Puri is truly a blessing,” said Anant M Ambani, Executive Director, Reliance Industries Limited. “By serving pilgrims and personnel during the Rath Yatra, we are serving the divine. Our goal is to make their journey safer, smoother, and more comfortable.”

Over 4,000 trained volunteers, easily identifiable in uniform, are managing crowds, water points, and general support for visitors.

Distribution of over 1.5 lakh eco-friendly hand fans to help pilgrims stay cool.
Police Assistance:
100 police aid posts with shelters have been set up for police personnel and as accessible help points for pilgrims.

This large-scale seva effort follows Reliance Foundation’s impactful presence at Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj earlier this year, where similar services ranging from meals to transport assistance were offered to lakhs of spiritual seekers.
With each passing year, Reliance continues to demonstrate its deep-rooted commitment to community service and spiritual responsibility, ensuring that festivals like Rath Yatra are not just spiritually fulfilling but also safe and accessible to all.
