NEW DELHI: Idemia Secure Transactions (IST), a global leader in cryptographic security solutions, has officially launched the Idemia Sphere cryptographic library—a certified, quantum-ready set of cryptographic algorithms designed to safeguard digital infrastructure in the post-quantum era.
As quantum computing threatens to break traditional encryption methods, Idemia’s new Sphere library offers organizations a robust defense through a hybrid set of classical and post-quantum algorithms, all validated under the NIST Cryptographic Algorithm Validation Program (CAVP).
The Idemia Sphere cryptographic library supports widely used algorithms such as RSA, ECC, AES, SHA, along with post-quantum algorithms like ML-DSA, SLH-DSA, LMS signatures, and ML-KEM key exchange, making it one of the most versatile cryptographic toolkits available today.
“Quantum computing is redefining the future of cybersecurity. With the launch of the Idemia Sphere cryptographic library, we are enabling enterprises to stay ahead of the curve—protecting their critical assets against future threats today,” said Marc Bertin, CTO, Idemia Secure Transactions.
Built for adaptability, the library is modular and optimized for integration across diverse platforms—from embedded systems and white-box environments to cloud-based enterprise servers. It offers development kits in C, with Java and Python wrappers for seamless deployment.
The release is part of Idemia’s broader strategy to deliver future-proof, certified cybersecurity solutions, with planned upgrades including new post-quantum algorithms and over-the-air update capabilities.
With this launch, Idemia continues to lead the way in digital security innovation, enabling governments, telecom providers, and financial institutions to prepare their infrastructure for the quantum era.
