EximPe gets RBI nod to build cross-border payment platform
description

NEW DELHI: Cross-border payments startup EximPe has received the RBI’s in-principle approval for a Payment Aggregator–Cross Border (PA-CB) licence, allowing it to facilitate export and import transactions in emerging Asian markets.

With this approval, EximPe joins a select group of fintech players authorized to offer regulated cross-border pay-in and pay-out infrastructure. The company aims to use the licence to support digital services, e-commerce, and B2B trade across India and neighboring economies.

EximPe, which has processed over $450 million in transactions for 5,000+ SMEs and service providers, is targeting a 10x growth by FY26. Founder and CEO Arjun Zacharia said the licence marks a transition from being a tech enabler to a full-fledged payments infrastructure provider.

The company has so far raised $3.5 million in funding and is positioning itself to capture demand in what it calls the “highest growth global corridor” between India and Asia.
