NEW DELHI:SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Tiruchirappalli (SRMIST Trichy) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dassault Systèmes to advance innovation, engineering education, and research by integrating cutting-edge digital tools and design technologies into academic and startup ecosystems.

Under the collaboration, Dassault Systèmes will provide its 3DEXPERIENCE platform, enabling students, faculty, and early-stage entrepreneurs to gain real-world problem-solving skills and digital proficiencies. The partnership is geared towards fostering industry-ready talent, supporting research and development, and incubating startups focused on innovative products and technologies.

The MoU aims to align with India’s broader goals of self-reliance, local innovation, and advanced manufacturing capabilities. It will empower students and researchers with hands-on experience in digital design, simulation, and system engineering tools that are in high demand across industries.

Dr. Shivakumar R., Chairman, SRM Group of Institutions (Chennai Ramapuram and Tiruchirappalli), said:
“This collaboration with Dassault Systèmes marks a major step in aligning our educational mission with real-world industry needs. It will empower our students and faculty to become creators, researchers, and entrepreneurs in a digitally transformed economy.”

Deepak NG, Managing Director, India, Dassault Systèmes, added:
“Through this partnership, we aim to equip young innovators with industry-relevant digital capabilities. The 3DEXPERIENCE platform will support them in turning ideas into impactful solutions through mentorship, technology, and research support.”

The initiative will also boost localised R&D, focusing on the design of indigenous systems and equipment, thus contributing to India’s innovation-led growth in engineering and technology.
